Fool's colourActually, I don't think Beloved will stay tawny. I have a theory: the Prophet's coloring changes as he or she REALIZES that his or her relationship with the Catalyst changes.
читать дальше1. When the Fool first meets Fitz, he is pure white. They are friends.
2. It isn't until Assassin's Quest that the Fool changes color. He becomes ivory, thinking that his Catalyst has died and realizing that he loved him - as a friend.
3. In the Mountains the Fool changes again. It is about this time that he realizes that he is completely and utterly infatuated with Fitz.
4. As Lady Amber, the Fool matures and realizes that Fitz is his one true love. He misses him and is still infatuated, but not to the same degree.
5. I'm not sure whether or not there was a color change from the Lady Amber phase to the Lord Golden phase, but if there was it could be the Fool coming to the realization that he has an easy friendship, a bond if you will, with Fitz, and that the infatuation is gone and has been replaced with love, pure and simple.
6. When we next see the change, the Fool is realizing that Fitz cannot love him with no boundaries as he loves Fitz. He turns a darker gold color.
7. We next see him on Aslevjal, darker than ever and the color of polished wood. Fitz has betrayed him, but the bond between them is strong still, and he realizes that he was betrayed because Fitz loved him. It doesn't make him any happier about being betrayed, however.
8. The final change comes when the Fool realizes he must say goodbye to his Fitzy. He is determined to leave for Clerres, and even more determined that Fitz cannot be near him because he doesn't want his Catalyst to create more change. From Chade's description of the Fool, he was brown as an appleseed all over
